Pulitzer Prize finalist Marianne Wiggins had nearly finished her manuscript for "Properties of Thirst" when she suffered a massive stroke. She emerged to discover that the past eight years of her life and work had been erased from her injured brain. Her daughter, an artist in her own right, moves in to become her caregiver and guides Marianne in healing and finishing her most acclaimed novel yet. MARIANNE is a mother-daughter love story about artistic creation, memory, and survival. The film is directed and produced by Rebecca Ressler and co-directed by Marianne’s daughter, Lara Porzak.
